outofzbox delivered twelve months in just under five
Just over ten months ago the ozb organization was first introduced to the unveiling of a crazy dream, a dream that had been in the making for years and that finally erupted to reveal itself. outofzbox has reached a level of maturity, that it is simply demanding to get out of its own box, to be unleashed to the world and attain its fullest global potential. Tamer Mustafa, our CEO deployed -in August 2015- ozb’s ambition for the future; the X20/2020 dream. It was a bundle of robust and bold strategies that would massively shake the boat while paving the way for a twenty-year-old business to multiply itself by twenty folds in just five years. That meant doubling the turnover year on year with worldwide expansions enabling ozb to take its place as a global pioneer in the field it invented; corporate storytelling. The craziest thing about this big dream is that; it is actually working faster and bigger than we aspired to, and so far we are thrilled to be over-achieving!
Outofzbox has been living its mission for two decades; “inspiring people to redefine their potential”, and it was nothing less than a purposeful decision for ozb to choose to inspire even more people who have the power to shape the world we live in.
To accomplish that, an ambitious plan was shared of an all-new global corporate structure with offices and organizations in major metropolitan business cities around the world, top class new leadership talents with multinational backgrounds were to be attracted, a fail-proof business model was introduced, clear priorities, massive investments, and a unique philosophy that glues everything altogether.
Last week the ozb Leadership team has just released some great news on every single dimension of the ozb dream. Outstanding results for the first two quarters of 2016 exceeding all plans and forecasts, where in spite of a devastating devaluation in Egypt, ozb managed to grow its topline -in US Dollars- by an index of 221 versus same period year ago, delivering sales equivalent to the full 2015’s twelve months –and a handsome bit more- in just the first five months of 2016. ozb delivered a high double digit growth across every region chosen to play in, be it the Near East and Africa region, the Arabian Peninsula region, or the Europe region which soared with an impressive three-digit growth after serious expansion plans. ozb acquired new world class global partners such as Berkshire Hathaway and the United Nations, expanded into territories never tapped into before by the agency like the US and Latin America, and introduced a more robust portfolio of services to fuel the growth and be able to live up to its mission.
outofzbox invested massively in its infrastructure, from equipment, to offices, state of the art online systems, partnerships with world-class suppliers and most importantly investment in people. ozb revisited its packages to match and compete with multinationals in the regions it operates in, and worked on attracting more and better talents to join the journey. In quarter two of 2016, ozb delivered each one of its recruiting targets adding a whooping 18 new outstanding talents to fill 11 different functional needs in its Central Business Unit and Regional ones too, joining the family across three countries, nearly doubling the 20-year headcount in just a few months.
ozb also created a dedicated storytellers’ function for the first time with some super talents who are expected to ignite a new era in the leadership of the company’s core service in the years to come, all part of the multiplier strategy in the ozb model enabling global scalability.
