outofzbox’s first project in cincinnati, ohio
It all started 19 years ago, when Tamer Mustafa received a phone call from his dear college friend Nabil Esmat asking him if he would be interested to become a supplier for P&G Egypt doing some simple jobs here and there. He asked Tamer not to let him down and to be up to it and make him look good for choosing him as part of his purchasing job.
Tamer’s first meeting was with Ashraf G.Shenouda an ABM on Camay for an in-store activity that ended up being just one banner that he delivered himself on his birthday. And despite the fact it was a LE 175 (about $20) invoice, but it was the trigger that got Tamer to resign from his full time job and to get serious about the private business, about outofzbox. He resigned his job for a $20 invoice just 48 hours prior to his engagement party, he did that because he felt potential and believed in it.
Close to twenty years have passed, and here he is today at the global headquarters in Cincinnati having not one but two P&G CEOs on stage both A.G. Lafley and David Taylor with a crowd of CEOs, Presidents and GMs from P&G Distributors around the world.
We couldn’t be prouder, proud of the values and principles we stuck to that made our journey much harder and slower in most times but more beautiful and sustainable at all times. The DOLF project we lead in Cincinnati accommodated leaders from a vast region expanding between India, Middle East and Africa, and witnessed outstanding success launching the newly established region of IMEA. This milestone project is the crown jewel on a long 19 year old business partnership with P&G and the mark of a new era in ozb’s global business in yet another continent, the US continent.
